The dates for this year’s AFT Professional Development Summer Educator Academy are July 17-24 with the arrival date of July 16. The academy will be held at:

The discounted registration fee for two to four members is $545 per person, which the local is responsible for. Registration includes hotel (shared room), airfare, meals and materials.  The registration fee is due to AFT no later than Friday, May 17, 2019.

Locals’ cost of $545 per person for participation up to the following levels:

  • Under 500 members: 2 participants
  • 500 to 1,200 members: 3 participants
  • Over 1,200 members: 4 participants

AFT absorbs the balance of $1,755 per person. Locals that wish to send additional participants may do so at full cost as long as there is available facility space and/or classes are not filled. Full-cost registration for courses is $2,300 per participant, which covers hotel (shared room), airfare, meals and materials.

The full-pay fee for non-members is $2,300.

Registration is online only. Online registration allows payment using credit cards; however, your local may also mail in the “balance-due” form you receive by e-mail after registering.
