Housing Information

Shared Room Arrangements

To accommodate as many participants as possible, participant(s) will have a shared room. If you don’t have someone from your local also attending to share with, we will assign a roommate based either on the courses you are taking or on geographical location of your locals. A few single rooms are available at an additional $80 per night ($640 for 8 nights), in addition to the $545 registration fee, for a maximum total of $1,185 per person.

Americans with Disabilities Act

The AFT will make every effort to ensure that accommodations at the Maritime Institute are in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. If a Summer Educator Academy participant anticipates a special need ensuing from a disability, the participant should contact Rebecca Hockfield at 202-879-4691 or [email protected] by June 24. AFT will attempt to accommodate any special needs to ensure that attendees may fully participate in Summer Educator Academy activities.
