Registration is now open for Winter Educator Academy!
It has been almost two years since we have all had to pivot to online teaching, learning, communicating, and not seeing one another. Face-to-face Winter Educator Academy is a chance to extend Summer Educator Academy train-the-trainer offerings in three new modules. We have limited spots for the courses offered:
Jan. 21-23, 2022 (to be rescheduled)
Content-Area Writing Instruction in the 6-12 Classroom (participant only)
Creating a Supportive Learning Environment Through Social Emotional Learning (train-the-trainer)
Universal Design for Learning: Everyone Learns Differently (train-the-trainer)

Registration opens Dec. 3 and closes Dec. 30. We are offering these courses at a reduced cost of $150 per participant for the train-the-trainer courses. The AFT will arrange and cover the cost of participants’ travel and housing.
As in the past, the local leader or designee must recommend participants for the train-the-trainer sessions.
The AFT has established extensive protocols in this age of COVID-19 for a safe in-person meeting environment. Review the COVID protocol page. Should travel conditions related to COVID-19 change, these courses will run virtually during the allotted time and dates.
